Brandon Clifford graduated from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont in 2002. He entered the workforce, starting in sales and marketing, working for a small marketing firm just outside of Boston. He quickly rose to the top of his field and received sales awards and accolades for his proven leadership, and sales performance. He was rapidly promoted to a leadership position and built a sales team of 8 people which he directly trained and supervised in less than a year. He was then asked to move to Jacksonville, Florida to help open a second office for this company. After moving home in 2004, he continued in sales working for a beverage distributor, focusing on customer acquisitions, and business development.

In 2006 Brandon helped start Pub 97, located at 935 Salem Street in Groveland, Ma. With the goal of providing excellent food and a family-friendly atmosphere to make Pub 97 a place that Groveland’s townspeople would be happy to call their local pub. Over the years, he and his family have done just that. They have taken an eyesore of a building, and an unused piece of property, and put Groveland on the map. Through their hard work and dedication, they built the business from ground zero to a thriving hotspot, and somewhat of a local landmark. Their business was recognized on The Phantom Gourmet as a “Hidden Jewel” in December of 2011 and was featured on The Phantom Gourmet again in 2012. It has become a destination restaurant that people from all over will drive to because they have heard of the great product being offered.

In September of 2012, Brandon acquired a coffee shop, which is also in Groveland. In under a year, he took this place from a coffee and donut shop doing under $10,000 in weekly sales, to a bustling Café offering a full lunch menu, fresh home-made soups, and a salad bar, and grossing $14,000 in weekly sales, Topping $800,000 in revenue in 2015. Now named Café 97, this location became a destination for those seeking a fast, affordable, quality meal, not just a place to grab a coffee on the way to or from work. Brandon increased customer counts from less than 2500 weekly to over 3000, while not only increasing transaction size by offering higher end items to patrons, but also increasing profitability due to proper order writing, and a better product mix.

In January of 2014, Brandon began yet another endeavor into the restaurant world and opened his third place. Par 97 is New England’s first HD Golf Restaurant and Sports Bar. Partnering with High Definition Golf, manufacturers of the most cutting edge golf simulators in the world, Brandon has developed a completely new and unique concept. This location is a full bar and restaurant, featuring 7 HD Golf simulators, where patrons can enjoy an authentic golfing experience while dining with friends. With an extensive menu offering 97 pizzas, 18 flavors of wings, gourmet pasta dishes, appetizers and sandwiches Par 97 is a great place to watch the game, enjoy a round of golf or grab a bite to eat.
